/get-product-info
Looks up a Home Depot product and shows its name, brand, model, SKU numbers, UPC, MSRP, and picture.
/get-product-info identifier:<text>identifierrequiredEnter the product's internet number, UPC, or store SKU. The number must match exactly; partial numbers and model numbers don't work. The internet number is the number on a homedepot.com product page, labeled "Internet #". Only digits, 6 to 13 of them, with no spaces or dashes.
Type: text
What it does
/get-product-info finds a Home Depot product from one of its numbers and shows its details.
It's handy for turning a UPC from a box, or a store SKU from a shelf tag, into the internet number that /add-sku needs.
What you get back
A message that only you can see, with the product's picture and:
- Product name
- Brand name
- Model number
- SKU (this is the internet number)
- Store SKU
- UPC
- MSRP
Any detail Home Depot doesn't have shows as "N/A". The MSRP also shows "N/A" when Home Depot lists a price of $0, which the bot treats as no price.
Below that are buttons:
- View Product opens the product on homedepot.com.
- SKU, UPC, and Store SKU each send you that number in a separate private message, so it's easy to copy on your phone.
Example
/get-product-info identifier:312345678The bot shows the details for the product with internet number 312345678.
If something goes wrong
- "Please provide a valid product identifier. (Must be 6-13 digits long)" Enter only digits, with no letters, spaces, or dashes.
- "Product Not Found": no Home Depot product matches that number. Check it, and make sure it's an internet number, UPC, or store SKU.
- "Server Error": the lookup failed. The bot retries a few times first, so this can take several seconds to appear. Try again later.
- "Home Depot lookups are at capacity right now." The bot is busy. Try again in a few minutes.
- "An error occurred while processing your request." Something failed on the bot's side. Try again later.
