/edituserfilter
Opens your current filter in the web editor so you can change it.
/edituserfilterThis command has no options.
What it does
Your filter decides which items the bot alerts you about. This command gives you a link that opens your current filter in the filter builder, so you can change it without writing anything by hand.
When you're done editing, save your changes with /setuserfilter. Editing in the browser does not change your filter in the bot until you do. To learn how filters work, see the filter guide.
What you get back
Only you can see the reply. It has:
- A link, Open your filter in the editor. Your filter is built into the link, so it loads in the editor automatically.
- A copy of your filter attached as
filter.json.
If your filter is very large, it doesn't fit in a link. In that case, the reply says so and links to the editor without your filter loaded. Download the attached filter.json and import it in the editor. When you're done, click Download in the editor and attach the new filter.json to the file option of /setuserfilter. A large filter is too long to paste into Discord.
Your filter is stored inside the link itself. Anyone you share the link with can see your whole filter.
Example
/edituserfilterClick the link in the reply. The filter builder opens with your current filter loaded. Make your changes, click Copy for Discord, then paste the result into /setuserfilter.
If something goes wrong
- Error Occurred: something failed on our side. Try again later.
- Your filter doesn't load in the editor: your filter was too large for the link, or the link was cut off when it was copied. Import the attached
filter.jsonin the editor. - The editor says the bot no longer accepts your filter: it was saved before a newer rule existed. Fix the problems the editor lists, then save it again with /setuserfilter.
