Alerts
When you get an alert, what it shows, and what decides whether you get pinged.
Nectyra keeps checking the items it watches at your stores. When one of the events below happens, it runs the item through your filter. If the filter says it's a match, you get an alert.
When an alert can fire
- Price drop. The item is in stock, its price is lower than the last price Nectyra saw, and it's at least 1% below MSRP. A drop to a penny ($0.01) only alerts if Nectyra had already flagged the item as one that goes to a penny.
- Back in stock. The item was out of stock and is back, at least 25% below MSRP.
- Discontinued item returns. Once a month Nectyra rechecks items that had disappeared. One that's back at least 25% below MSRP can alert.
Everything else, like price increases or small changes, never alerts, whatever your filter says.
Repeat alerts
Prices at a store often bounce up and back down. Nectyra remembers the price it last alerted you at for each item at each store, and it only alerts you again for that item at that store when one of these is true:
- The new price is lower than the one you were alerted at.
- The deal ended: the item was out of stock or back at full price for 30 days or more.
- Your last alert for it is 60 days old or more.
So you get every new low price, but not the same deal twice. An alert Nectyra couldn't deliver to you, for example because your DMs were closed, doesn't count. Your alerts are tracked separately from everyone else's.

What's in an alert

| Title | The product name. Click it to open the product on homedepot.com. |
| Store | The store name and store number. |
| Old Price | The price before this drop. If there was no earlier price, this is the MSRP. |
| New Price | The price at the store now. |
| MSRP | The regular price at the store: Home Depot's "was" price or its online price there, whichever is higher. |
| Quantity | How many the store has in stock right now. |
| Percent Off | How far the new price is below MSRP. |
| SKU, Store SKU, UPC | The internet number, the number on the shelf tag, and the barcode. The UPC links to a barcode you can scan. |
Under the details are links to the store's page, its store map, and driving directions. The Copy SKU and Copy UPC buttons reply with just that number in a message only you can see, so it's easy to long-press and copy on a phone.
Loud or quiet
Your filter sorts every alert into one of three results:
- High priority. The alert mentions you, so Discord sends a notification.
- Regular priority. The alert is posted without mentioning you, so you see it when you check Discord.
- No alert. Nothing is posted.
